SANDPOINT — Heavy snow combined with strong winds is creating widespread areas of unstable snow and high avalanche danger at all elevations and aspects in the Selkirk and Cabinet mountain ranges, the U.S. Forest Service’s Idaho Panhandle Avalanche Center said on Wednesday.
