The U11 Sandpoint Sasquatch baseball team won the Cinco De Mayo Tournament in Hayden, Idaho on May 11.
The team went 5-0 in the tournament with wins over the Coeur d’Alene Blaze, Missoula Hotshots, Frenchtown Sluggers and the Hayden Norsemen in the round-robin portion of the tournament.
Then they topped off the weekend with a 17-9 victory over the CDA Blaze in the championship game.
“It was a great weekend of baseball with all of the hard work the boys have put in over the past few years coming together with strong pitching, lights-out defense and a solid offense,” Sasquatch manager Dustin Reichart said.
