Timber prices have skyrocketed. In April, the Random Lengths Framing Lumber Composite Price index peaked at an all-time high of $1,044/Mbf (thousand board feet) compared to $400/Mbf roughly a year earlier in March 2020, said Mike Wolcott of Inland Forest Management Inc.'s website in its "Timber Talk" for April.
