Idaho Department of Lands are utilizing drone technology to map hotspots in wildfires. An Unmanned Aerial System, also known as a drone, is being used on the Prater Red 2 fire. It is equipped with an infrared camera which provides firefighters with data that helps them target the more active regions of the fire.
