The Sandpoint Sasquatch 12U travel baseball team won the Spring Dinger Invitational held April 19-21 in Rathdrum. The Sasquatch defeated six straight opponents in order to bring home the championship trophy: North Idaho Sharks 12U (15-4), Palouse Cougars 12U (10-2), ECBA Lightning 12U (14-1), IE Astros 12U (13-3), Palouse Cougars 12U (7-6), and Bombers Baseball 12U (5-2). Cash Cruteau led the Sasquatch at the plate with 12 hits over the span of the tournament, notching seven singles, four doubles, a home run, and six RBIs. He also struck out six batters over six innings on the mound in the team's final game. The Sasquatch now hold a record of 13-0 on the season.
