The Sandpoint High wrestling crew, along with some other volunteers, finish up work on Saturday. The four holes that were dug, as seen in this picture, will serve as the foundation for a new front porch. The work took about an hour, as the soil had lots of roots in it. John Elsa, a local for 46 years, and a PSNI volunteer for more than six years, originally asked the team if they had any athletes that were willing to lend a helping hand. He said the new front porch of The Cottage will have an overhang; the previous porch did not, and the piling up of snow ruined it. Elsa, an electrical contractor by trade for many years before his retirement, used to help PSNI out when they had electric problems. "Panhandle Special Needs is a great organization," Elsa said. "They help adults with disabilities and we are fortunate to have that here, because not all communities have access to something like this."
