Sandpoint High juniors Sylvia Becker and Emma Garman both received various All-American accolades from the National Wrestling Coaches Association and the United States Marine Corps for their work both on and off the wrestling mat this season. Garman and Becker both received the Character and Leadership All-American Award; Becker also received the High School Scholar All-American Award. The two demonstrated great examples of academic excellence, fighting spirit, mental toughness, and work ethic in order to receiver these awards. Coaches Josh Ratigan and Valerie Johansen said they could not think of two better leaders and mentors and are proud to say the two represent Sandpoint wrestling.
