Forrest Bird Charter School freshman, Alicia Peterson, recently won the pole bending title at the Idaho High School Rodeo Association District 3 finals held in Cambridge May 3-4. At the finals, Peterson placed first out of 22 competitors with a time of 21.485 seconds. She has won all three of the competitions she has competed in this year and holds a personal best time of 20.827 seconds, which she set a couple of weeks ago at a rodeo competition in Lewiston. Peterson will compete at the IHSRA finals set to be held June 8-15 at the Bannock County Event Center in Pocatello.
