The Sandpoint High dance team danced their way to a 5A District 1-2 championship this past Saturday, Feb. 15 at Coeur d'Alene High. The Bulldogs had the lowest total ordinal score and secured first place in both the kick and military categories. Their impressive performance earned them a spot in the IHSAA State Dance Championships set to held Saturday, Mar. 1 at the Ford Idaho Center in Nampa. The team will be performing three routines at the state competition — kick, military and hip-hop. Head coach Frances Clark and assistant coach Mikah Little expressed immense pride in the team's achievements. "We are incredibly proud of what the team has accomplished," the two said. "Their hard work, unity, and love for dance has truly paid off." Pictured, back row, from left, are Ariana Higgins, Xadrian Knepper, Addilyn Brewington, Sophia Binnall and Adyssen Jolley.
