From left, Mason Little, Dallen Williams, and Parker Reichart, all juniors at Sandpoint High who are a part of the varsity baseball team, recently competed at the President's Day Classic tournament, which was held Saturday, Feb. 15 through Monday, Feb. 17 in Mesa, Ariz. The trio competes for the 18U Big League Experience "White" team, which is based out of White Rock, British Columbia. The team went 3-1 at the tournament, defeating New Level Gonzales 17U (Puyallup, Wash.) 10-5, Greenberry Athletics 18U (Vancouver, Wash.) 3-1, and Bulldogs Premier 18U (Puyallup, Wash.) 5-4 before falling to SD STIK 17U (San Diego, Calif.) 8-7 in their final matchup. Throughout the tournament, at the plate, Williams went 5-for-11 with two doubles, three runs scored, and one RBI; Little went 4-for-11 with two doubles, three runs scored, and four RBIs; Reichart went 3-for-7 with three runs scored, two RBIs, and three walks. On the mound, Williams pitched one inning, giving up a hit and a walk and no earned runs in the win over Bulldogs Premier 18U. Reichart was also impressive on the bump, pitching three innings, giving up no hits, two walks, and no earned runs while striking out one batter in the win over Greenberry Athletics 18U.
