Even during his five weeks in the hospital battling pneumonia that nearly killed him, Pope Francis has never been shy about showing weakness. He could barely lift his arms to bless the crowd as he left the hospital last Sunday. His eyes were sunken and face bloated. But for many, the pope's willingness to be seen in all his infirmity serves as an example to young and old alike that fragility is part of the human condition.
