Why is library board ignoring public's concerns?
In the months following the passing of Idaho House Bill 710 — which requires Idaho public and school libraries to move materials deemed harmful to children or face lawsuits — our own East Bonner Library board continues to insist that materials explicitly sexual in nature are not so.

'Party changers' deserve congratulations, not castigation
The searing letter from Ms. Fahrig (Daily Bee, June 9) put a smile on my face. Our own family of four voters changed our party affiliation after meeting and hearing a Democratic candidate, Paulette Jordan, and realizing that even though she was the sharpest candidate that we’d seen in a long while, a vote for a Democrat in North Idaho is a wasted vote.
'Saga' series prompts questions, concerns
EBCL upholds decision to keep books
For now, the Saga series will stay in circulation at the East Bonner County Library District. However, they could be moved to another section following a June 10 board vote to uphold a decision not to pull the books from circulation. The decision follows a May request to reconsider a decision by library staff to keep the book series in the library's collection.
