The Idaho Food Bank Fund is distributing grants to 34 organizations working to solve hunger in Idaho and in your region. The grants total $88,800 in 2016, enabling recipients to further their missions in hunger relief. In northern Idaho, five organizations received grants.

Northern Idaho has a fast-growing aerospace industry that supplies parts to airplane manufacturers like Boeing. Lewiston is the hub for advanced manufacturing for the timber industry, utility industry and gun parts and ammunition companies. The Treasure Valley has a rapidly-growing technology sector. The Magic Valley is adding value to Idaho’s agriculture commodities through food processing, and Eastern Idaho has a growing energy sector supporting the Idaho National Laboratory, a premier nuclear research facility that is also expanding its cybersecurity research.

Idaho to require non-resident sticker for OHVs on Jan. 1

Starting on Jan. 1, 2020, the state of Idaho will require non-residents riding in Idaho to purchase a non-resident off-highway vehicle sticker. The fee will be the same $12 that Idaho residents are currently required to purchase.
