Two people are dead after a late Saturday crash on Highway 41 near Blanchard and a third was killed in a separate crash in Kootenai County the following day, according to Idaho State Police.

Law is necessary to protect our youth
A recent letter (Daily Bee, June 25) bemoans a parent’s right to censor inappropriate materials to minors in public libraries. This is obviously in reference to Idaho’s recently enacted “Children's School and Library Protection Act.” The bill’s focus is on the exposure of minors to obscene materials of a sexual and perverse nature. That someone would defend a minor’s access to these types of obscene materials is troubling.
Ranked choice would end one person, one vote
For Idaho to vote ranked choice voting into law in November would be a travesty to say the least.
Matthee would serve with common sense, respect
We need more people in a legislature who can look at both sides of the issues that are facing Idaho. Karen Matthee is that person. She is respectful of other views but knows what matters.
