The U.S. Forest Service is again issuing Christmas tree permits. Permits for the Idaho Panhandle can be applied for either in person offices throughout the region or online.

The U.S. Forest Service is again offering a chance to create special holiday memories while finding this year’s holiday tree. The agency is again offering permits available at offices across North Idaho or online through recreation.gov.

With Thanksgiving just a few days away, some may say it is too early for the Christmas spirit. Not so for the U.S. Forest Service, which has been issuing Christmas tree permits since Oct. 13.
