Open primaries will bring socialism to Idaho
Vote no on open primaries. Open primaries are, in my opinion, just another way to bring socialism to Idaho. Democrats are, unfortunately for them, the minority in Idaho. By changing the way we vote in primaries, they believe they can get a Republican in name only into office to support their socialist agenda. That was proven in our recent primary and general elections.
ISHS seeks input on plan
The Idaho State Historical Society is seeking public input to help update the Idaho Historic Preservation Plan. The plan was last updated eight years ago, and since that time the population of Idaho has grown by over 250,000 people, Janet Gallimore, executive director, said in a press release.

STATE TIMBER SALE CR200322, LOW RIVER A public oral auction will be conducted at the Idaho Department of Labor office, 613 Ridley Village Road, Suite C, Sandpoint, ID 83864 (TEMPORARY LOCATION), at 11:00 a.m. local time, on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 for an estimated 1,470 MBF of timber marked or otherwise designated for cutting. In addition, there is an unestimated volume of forest products that may be removed at the option of the purchaser. Prior to bidding, eligible bidders shall present a certified check or bank draft payable to Treasurer, State of Idaho, or a bid bond acceptable to the State, in the amount of $37,310.55 which is 10% of the appraised net sale value of $373,105.50. The successful bidder's deposit will be forfeited to the State should the bidder fail to complete the contract. The State will not accept bids from parties who are delinquent on payments on existing state contracts. The average starting minimum bid price is $261.36 per MBF. The sale is located within Sections 4 and 5, Township 57N, Range 04W and Section 33, Township 58N, Range 04W, B.M., Bonner County, State of Idaho. Sale duration is 3 years. The sale may include blowdown and/or insect and disease infected timber which may result in additional volume and recovery reductions. Interested purchasers should carefully examine the sale and make their own estimates as to volume recovery, surface conditions, and proposed construction prior to bidding on the sale.
