Legal Notice The Board of Bonner County Commissioners is calling for letters of interest from persons interested in serving on the Waterways Advisory Committee to make recommendations to the Board regarding waterways and parks and recreation facilities and activities. The Committee will make recommendations to the County Commissioners regarding waterways issues. There is one (1) seat available for the Advisory Board. The Board of Commissioners is looking for residents from Bonner County; preferably from the Garfield Bay peninsula area and secondly an at-large resident will be considered. The term of commitment will be for three (3) years. The committee meets once a month on the third (3rd) Thursday at the Bonner County Administration Building. Supreme Court sharply limits fed's power over wetlands

The Supreme Court has sharply limited the federal government's authority to police water pollution into certain wetlands. It's the second decision in as many years in which a conservative majority narrowed the reach of environmental regulations. The outcome could threaten efforts to control flooding on the Mississippi River and protect the Chesapeake Bay, among many projects, according to Justice Brett Kavanaugh. He broke with the other five conservatives on the court. The justices boosted property rights over concerns about clean water in a ruling in favor of an Idaho couple who sought to build a house near a lake.
