NOTICE OF HEARING
IN THE DISTRICT COURT OF THE FIRST JUDICIAL
Look before you shoot
It's time for gun shooters, hunters or target shooters, to be more cognizant of their surroundings when engaging in their hobby. The recent episode of the Sagle women being hit by errant gunshot and the rash of hunters bagging hunters is a sign of the lack of responsibility displayed by gun owners and shooters.
Great job guys
Last week, two Bonners Ferry Police officers did a great job arresting a suspected methamphetamine dealer.

Intolerance over sign seems troublesome
I wish to take issue with Chris White's intolerant, judgmental and utterly absurd comments regarding Christianity and Jesus' views on current events (Dec. 12, 2004).

Religious signs are poor welcome to city
How do you like this sign on the northwest corner of First Avenue and Superior — right where you make the turn after the Long Bridge welcoming everyone (?) who drives into town this season? There was also one very similar that was put up in that same spot welcoming everyone to Thanksgiving in Sandpoint with a different Bible quote giving thanks for Jesus our lord. I find these signs very offensive.
Why are adults acting like kids over field?
Come on, folks. What's wrong with this picture? Can't we figure out a solution to this problem?

Express tolerance for all viewpoints
It's too bad that Chris White was offended at Steve Smith's sign giving thanks to God for Christmas.

Since the onset of the current EMS crisis that has enveloped Bonner County, the volunteers of the Westside Fire District have committed themselves to the citizens of the district and Bonner County as a whole by keeping personnel at the station staffing the ambulance 24 hours a day. The donations brought a much-needed boost to the spirits of these dedicated and motivated individuals.

Why can't people express themselves
Regarding Mr. Chris White's letter about the openly religious sign on First and Superior, I would just say, relax Chris. If you are free to not believe, then please don't be offended by those who do. Go on with your life and let other's pay respect to their beliefs or lack thereof, how they see fit. I can't imagine that the sign was put up to offend anyone. It's one person's freedom of speech and religion in action. One person being thankful and welcoming in the name of his hometown.

Christian zealots, speak for yourself and refrain from speaking for our town.
This past weekend I was offended by the sign prominently displayed by Steve Smith at the corner of Superior and First and clearly visible to all entering Sandpoint. High-pitched 'support' hurt Kerry
Analysts and others are sifting through exit polls to unravel the story of this presidential election. Many explanations for Mr. Kerry's loss will emerge. Mr. Moore, and others like him, George Soros, Peter Lewis, Bruce Springsteen and, locally, guest writers like Jim Omiuet, introduced a visceral strain into this contest unlike any we've seen in recent history.

People who earn money, pay taxes
Rich are getting richer, etc. I am getting really tired of hearing so-called "poor people" crying about rich people getting all the tax cuts. For your information, people who make a lot of money, pay a lot of taxes and people who don't make much, barely pay anything.
