End 'Pax Americana,' vote Republicans out

Federal Reserve Chairman Allen Greenspan came out of the closet this past week explaining how President Bush would pay for the largest deficits in U.S. history by cutting benefits for Social Security retirees. It is kind of Chairman Greenspan to "warn" future Social Security recipients of certain cuts necessitated by occupying to countries at a cost of one billion dollars per week while the Republican administration continues its policy of "corporate welfare" through huge tax cuts to companies who move their headquarters offshore and their manufacturing and technology oversees. Fortunately for Afghanistan, who has no asset other than once again becoming the leading producer of opium in the world, that they will not have to face the McWamartization that is taking place in Iraq as we privatize and democratize their country for them whether they like it or not. What King George Jr. fails to see is that cutting Social Security benefits is a tax, a tax on the elderly segment of our population who are most often the least able to afford it.

A letter in the Daily Bee (March 4, 2004) pointed out, that despite increases in Democratic activity, Idaho would vote Republican. Of course he's right. The reason, he states, is because Bush is a better man than Kerry. That is debatable, but not something for this letter.

Unless you hate our president George W. Bush, two recent articles in the Daily Bee inform supporters of the Democratic party and "those that just hate Bush."
