Coronavirus cases keep climbing in region
Panhandle Health District said it had 134 new cases on Friday, bringing its total to 5,587 cases — 778 new cases in the past week — and 76 deaths. Of those, 70 were people age 70 and over, five were in the 60-69 age group and one was in the 50-59 age group.

Faye Stevens LaMoreaux was born on August 8, 1932, in Buhl, Idaho, to parents Walter and Ruby Roberts. Her family moved to Sandpoint about 1946 but after a time they returned to southern Idaho. Faye chose to stay behind and begin her own life here in Sandpoint.

On Thursday, October 22, 2020, the BCEDC application for the 2nd Round of Economic Response & Recovery Funds will open at www.bonnercountyedc.com/errfund. Bonner County-based businesses are encouraged to review the criteria online and submit an application for consideration by the ERR Fund Committee. Grants awarded will vary in size and will be no larger than $5,000.
